Is SEO Dead? Let’s Talk About the Rise of AI…

Can we address the digital dumpster fire that is the “SEO is dead” and “blogging is dead” chorus? Has anyone else noticed that there are those people who jump on this train anytime the world of content marketing changes even the slightest bit outside of their comfort zone?

I mean, yes, the AI overlords are changing the game. I’d be lying if I said it was all for the better.

Those meticulously crafted keyword strategies we all spent years perfecting? HA! They are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine right now.

But the truth is – SEO isn’t dead, it’s changing!

The days of chasing backlinks and tweaking meta descriptions until our eyeballs bleed are behind us. It sucks. It really does. All that hard work, all that time invested, feels like it’s being tossed into the digital void.

But here’s the thing: We’ve been here before.

Remember when Google’s “Helpful Content Update” rolled out, turning the SEO world upside down? We didn’t curl up in a ball and cry (okay, maybe I did for a minute or two). We adapted. We learned new techniques, shifted our strategies, and kept moving…

Now, AI is the new monster moving in the shadows. It’s churning out “content” that reads like a robot vomited a thesaurus onto the page, with a few inaccurate “facts” and made-up pieces of data for good measure. And yeah, it’s making us question everything.

Are we going to whine and complain about how unfair it is? Or are we going to roll up our sleeves and figure out how to thrive in this next chapter?

Let’s be real: the internet is already drowning in misinformation, poorly written content, and questionable websites. That’s nothing new. In fact, the average person has caught onto the fact that most of the random content they see online should be questioned or flat-out ignored. We’ve developed a healthy skepticism for the information being shoved down our throats online.

So, what’s the secret? How do we stand out and put ourselves at the front of the pack? Authenticity. Trust. Human connection. The stuff robots can’t fake or replicate.

This isn’t the end of blogging, content marketing, or SEO. It’s a transformation. It’s a chance to stop chasing algorithms and start connecting with people. Honestly, it sounds like a beautiful escape from the hamster wheel of strict keyword tactics and SEO techniques.

Because in a world of robotic perfection, being human is our superpower.

    1. Thanks! It never fails to surprise me how out there some of those inaccurate “facts” are. Like the one circulating right now about how hippos can be trained to help with ultrasounds haha
